About Mihai Margineanu
Mihai Mărgineanu (born October 2, 1969, Bucharest) is a Romanian singer, actor and composer of folk and pop rock music. His music is inspired by urban folklore, some songs being takeovers of old glass songs, and others being his own creations in the same genre. His lyrics are often explicit, containing uncensored words.
He launched into music quite late, at the age of 36. His first songs were recorded in 2005, and were originally intended for a limited group of friends. Subsequently, the songs spread on the internet, and the author gained popularity also due to the invitation in the show Cronica Cârcotașilor.
Mărgineanu's most famous song, "I love women" is a take on a song by the interwar actor Iancu Brezeanu, of which Mărgineanu kept only the song and rewrote some of the lyrics in his own style.
Mihai Mărgineanu graduated from the High School of Industrial Electronics, then the Romanian Academy of Management and the Technical University of Constructions, Faculty of Installations. Between 1999-2001, he worked in advertising at the Sales Department within the Ringier press trust, and since 2002, he has been a construction materials import company.
