Hi there, we’re Suburbia11! We come from Romania, from the heart of Transylvania with attitude and energy and a few other things that will rock your club, party or festival.
We’ve gathered all the genres we liked and ended
up playing this ska-punk with a balkan-reggae feel combination, and we haven’t yet met a crowd that heard us and didn’t start a party.
We sing about all the things that make life worth living: having fun, love and standing up for what you believein.
Both in english and romanian ( and sometimes in spanish too), our songs manage to reach the souls and minds
of our audience, while making their feet move. We love dancing and you, you will find that you are a bit balkanblooded
yourself after coming to one of our shows. 5 random guys playing not so random music, we are: Claudiu
(vocals and acoustic guitar), Sanyi (trumpet, trombone, accordion, melodica), Blink (bass-guitar),
Dragos (electric guitar) and Alex (drums). We love a few bands a bit too much and you’ll hear their influence in
our music. In absolutely random order, we love and sing along with Dubioza Kolektiv, Manu Chao, SARS, Bongo
Botrako and many more.
For the past 4 years we’ve been touring Romania with about 50 gigs each year: big and small festivals, indoor and
outdoor, clubs and a few well-chosen private events. Festival-wise, our most prized memory is performing at Sziget Festival in 2017. Since then, we’ve managed to take the stage at some of the most important music festivals in Romania as well. Each year we try to make at least one club show in every big Romanian city and we’ve
managed to get on stage on all the most important venues and clubs since we play.
In 2019 we started touring outside the country ( Hungary, Germany and Bulgaria), met double the amount of energy we get at home and we look forward to play in as many
european cities as possible.
